Take some time to visit one of the most amazing archaeological sites in Mexico: Chichen Itza. It is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. At the ruins of Chichen Itza, you can visit magnificent temples such as the Kukulkan Pyramid and the Ball Game. Chichen Itza is an ancient city built by the Mayan civilization. Dominating the center of Chichen Itza is the pyramid commonly known as El Castillo (the castle). This step pyramid was dedicated to Kukulkan (the Mayan name for Quetzalcoatl, the Mesoamerican deity whose name means feathered serpent). It is a square-based pyramid that has stairs going up each of the four sides, leading to Kukulkan’s temple on the top. It was designed so that at the equinoxes, the rising and setting sun casts a shadow in the shape of a plumed serpent that slithers down the northern side of the pyramid to the serpent’s head at the base. Ek’ Balam shares characteristics common to the most important ancient Mayan cities, including monuments, architecture, walls, steles (beautiful sculptures carved of blocks of stone), a ball court, a network of roads as well as texts written in glyphs. Climb structures as large as 85ft. tall and enjoy a site with excavation work in progress. After enjoying a complete tour of Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, cool off and enjoy a swim in fresh water sinkhole at the famous Cenote Ikkil, rated the largest underground river in the Yucatan peninsula.

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is 30% cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 % cancellation fee. RESCHEDULING POLICY: If you need to reschedule your tour date, you must notify via email at Info@cancuntoursunlimited.com or call at +1 (801) 704-0792 with a minimum of two days in advance of your scheduled tour and it is subject to availability. A 10% rescheduling fee will apply. We will notify you via email prior to your tour date if the tour must be cancelled for any reason including weather conditions of which you’ll receive a full refund or be able to reschedule your trip with no penalty.
